The Quarry walking distance from Shrewsbury Town centre is a lovely place to have a stroll with the Dingle at its centre all beautifully planted at all times of the year. Lots of benches where you can enjoy your picnic.

Then perhaps a little stroll along the River Severn and if you are feeling energetic enough as far as The Weir when in the season you can see the salmon jumping.
