Located just outside the market town of Shrewsbury, in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside, Ruth’s Retreat is a magical place to stay.

We have four amazing properties for hire, these comprise of a Log Cabin which caters for up to 3 people and three Chalets for couples only.  As the name suggests our accommodation is set in the quiet Shropshire countryside away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Each of our chalets and cabins have their own Hot Tub and Private Gardens. Visitors come to relax, or visit the many attractions the local area has to offer. Just a few hundred yards down the road is the Shropshire Way with great walking routes and the Shropshire Hills close by namely The Caradoc, The Lawley, Stiperstones, and the Longmynd.  For people who want to take time out from their busy lives, Ruth’s Retreat is the perfect getaway!

Beautiful Shropshire surroundings

Ruth’s Retreat is situated close to the Shropshire Hills, in particular The Caradoc, The Lawley, The Stiperstones, and The Longmynd. The Shropshire Hills is an area of oustanding natural beauty with lots of great opportunities for walking, cycling, and generally getting lots of great fresh air!

Despite our tranquil rural location, the beautiful market of Shrewsbury is only a 15-minute drive away from Ruth’s Retreat.

Shrewsbury, situated in the loop of the River Severn, is steeped in history. The birthplace of Charles Darwin, its skyline is dominated by its many church spires, the Market Hall and Shrewsbury Castle. It has a great café culture, where bars and restaurants are nestled in between black and white buildings, open spaces, and stretch along the banks of the River Severn. Shrewsbury is famous for its many shuts and passages, has a wonderful Museum and Art Gallery, and is renowned for is beautiful park, The Quarry, which is circled by the river and a great place to take a relaxing walk.
